You said I was born to be misunderstood, I said I was born with the cord around my neck. Guess it's still strangling my soul, still pulling me back real good. How different things would have been if my purple skin had given into pale. All this pain could have hit the earth like some meteor destined to fail. I could have kept that noose and held my breath. She should have taken my strength, all that was left. How much did I really give and what solace have I created? She copped out on me early and proved all was ill-fated. If she's crying raindrops at night and sleeping on the milky way, I hope she's still holding on because I've got to see her some day.
